Tuesday 29th April 2025,6:00 pm - 7:00 pm BST

For the first time, in Autumn 2025, the Data Science Festival team are organising a Careers Day for the community! Our aim is to support and nurture the thousands of community members entering the data science profession. To celebrate this initiative, we have decided to run a one off evening panel event, for the talent community. Join us for an exciting and engaging emerging talent panel, combined with a launch party featuring live music and good vibes for our careers day.
In an increasingly competitive job market, hiring early-career professionals is more crucial than ever for companies looking to future-proof their data teams. This expert panel will bring together industry leaders to discuss the key strategies for attracting, assessing, and retaining top emerging talent. From refining recruitment practices to better engage Gen Z candidates to designing interview processes that identify potential beyond experience, we’ll explore what works- and what doesn’t- when it comes to building a strong early-career pipeline. Plus, we’ll dive into the long-term benefits of investing in junior hires, from fostering innovation to strengthening company culture. Attendees will also get an exclusive first look at the DSF Career Fair 2025, the go-to event for connecting with the next generation of data professionals.
