In the fast-paced world of data science, the need to develop and retain top talent has never been more critical. The shortage of skilled data professionals in the market, along with the rapidly evolving technological landscape, makes the challenge of building, nurturing and scaling effective data science teams even more significant. In this talk, we will share our experiences in building internal training and mentorship programs in addressing this challenge based on our experience.
At Cervello, a leading data consulting company, we have developed a customized internal training program called the “”School of Data Science”” (SoDS) to meet the specific needs for data science teams in a consulting setting. The program includes hands-on training, real-world experience, and customized curriculum as well as a peer-to-peer mentorship initiative.
The talk will highlight Cervello’s approach to developing these training initiatives, as well as lessons learned. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of Cervello’s approach to developing these training initiatives as well as lessons learned, which should hopefully help them in apply these ideas to their own organisation.
