Joe joined the Economic Scenario Service team at Hymans in January of this year. To date, his work has focussed on developing tools to manage financial risks associated with climate change. Before taking up this role, he trained as a Bayesian statistician developing application-led methodology.

During his time as a post-doc at University College Dublin and a doctoral student at the University of Warwick he worked on problems in Evolutionary Biology, Epidemiology, Computational Social Science, and Bioacoustics. That said, over coffee he’s more likely to talk about hurling, bikes, parkrun, or heat pumps.
