Matheus Torquato is a Senior Data Scientist at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) working on the company’s digital transformation to deliver Reimagine, JLR’s new global strategy. Previously, he worked as a research engineer developing collaborative projects between industry and academia. Matheus is also an external member of the Laboratory of Machine Learning and Intelligent Instrumentation at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), where his main research topic is the acceleration of artificial intelligence algorithms through reconfigurable computing on FPGA. He has a master’s degree in Computer Engineering (UFRN and the University of Ottawa) and an engineering degree also in Computer Engineering (UFRN and Swansea University). Matheus has published several academic papers in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and reconfigurable computing.
