Omar graduated from the University of Bristol in January 2025 with a degree in Philosophy and French, including a year at Université Grenoble Alpes. He came to Digital Futures from education rather than corporate work – first supporting students as a learning support assistant, then teaching English in France.
He joined the Business Analyst pathway in February 2025, completing training, interviews and certification by that July. His first deployment was as a Trade Services Officer at a multinational financial institution and was then redeployed as a business analyst at a global bank, working in Data Assets within Finance to prepare data for the dashboards and reporting the function runs on.
Omar is a committed advocate for inclusion, having hosted diversity panels and LGBTQ+ speaker events in previous roles. He hikes, reads fiction and philosophy in equal measure, and maintains a long list of restaurant recommendations – and a longer list of places still to try.
