Mental health charity Chasing the Stigma created the Hub of Hope – an online database that helps connect people with local mental health services anywhere in the UK. Chasing the Stigma collaborated with data science charity DataKind UK to explore and analyse use of the platform, and ultimately find out more about the state of mental health in the UK. DataKind UK works to bridge the gap between data science experts, and social causes whose mission could be fuelled by effective use of their data. In this talk, DataKind UK’s skilled volunteers present the questions they explored, the initial results, and the methodology they used to explore Chasing the Stigma’s data in the name of social good.
