Paul combines 35 years of experience in software engineering, data and AI roles with a coaching practice focused on supporting technical professionals through career transition and change.

His career has spanned enterprise software, data driven environments, and AI related work across both highly mature and evolving organisations. This has given him a systems level perspective on how organisational structure, incentives and decision making shape the day to day reality of technical work.

He now works with software, data and AI professionals who are highly capable technically, but find themselves experiencing misalignment, stalled growth or uncertainty about direction as their roles evolve.

Paul is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and alongside his coaching work, he mentors engineers and aspiring Chartered professionals through the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), supporting career development, growth and professional accreditation. He also contributes to some IEEE initiatives exploring the impact of GenAI systems on people and planet, including questions around responsible use and human flourishing.
