tem runs the transaction infrastructure that replaces the wholesale energy market for businesses and generators. Underneath it sits one shared portfolio dataset that has to serve near real time pricing decisions and fully reconciled finance and regulatory reporting at the same time.
Join us for an evening at Battersea Power Station, where tem’s London office is also based, exploring how that actually works. The evening will feature a keynote from tem’s data leadership, a panel with the practitioners who build and run the stack, and networking over food and drinks.

PANEL SESSION
One Portfolio, Many Masters: Who Owns the Truth?
tem’s pricing, risk, finance and regulatory teams all work from the same portfolio data, and each needs something different from it. Pricing wants answers in minutes, finance wants fully reconciled numbers, and regulation wants an audit trail.
Our panellists build and run that stack, and they will dig into the trade offs: fast vs right, who owns the truth when definitions conflict, and what breaks when one dataset serves everyone.
Panellists:
Antonio Alvarez Caballero, Staff Data Engineer @ tem
I’ve been working in Data for 10 years, including academia, insurance, and now the energy industry! Currently ensuring the Data flows in tem’s are fast and scalable, and all parts of the Platform have the data they need in an accessible way.
Matt Bailey, Senior Machine Learning Engineer @ tem
Matt completed his doctorate in Theoretical & Computational Chemistry at the University of Oxford before moving in to green technology & energy. He’s worked as Head of Data and AI at an IoT startup controlling smart radiators, as AI and Data Lead optimising placement of behind-the-meter clean technology assets, and is now in the Rosso pricing team at tem helping businesses pay less and generators earn more.
Hosted by:
David Loughlan, Founder @ Data Science Festival and Data Idols.
David has spent over a decade working across the data industry, bringing people together through events, recruitment and community building. He is passionate about creating spaces where data professionals can share ideas, have open conversations and learn from one another.
