In previous tech events, I have been used to no more than 10 women being there. This is the first time I have seen this many women. It’s pretty impressive and it’s lovely to see.

I think it’s so important for young people to invest and understand how the job market works in this marketplace. It’s incredibly competitive; we are seeing at least 50 people apply to every vacancy, and technology is sometimes a factor.

It’s important for sponsors to come to events like this because we get to meet a very diverse new breed of people coming onto the market. There are lots of new talent, new skills, returners and people who have taken a career break from work.
